We will provide free game development software, ClickTeam Fusion, to participants. Joel Christiansen will be offering some tutorials on how to use the software at the beginning of the event. Joel and the volunteer team will be on site to offer guidance and support throughout the event.

Remember – you do not need to have game development experience to participate!
The Computer Science Department will be providing free catering. This includes dinner on Friday and breakfast and lunch on Saturday. Drinks and snacks will also be provided.
At the end of the day on Saturday, the games will be judged and prizes awarded. The prizes this year will be a Raspberry Pi’s for the best games.
T shirts will also be given away to all participants!
In order to participate in the event, you must register using our official registration form. The event is open to all UT Tyler students.
This year’s Code-A-Thon will have 10 teams with three participants on each team, for a total of 30 participants overall. Students can sign up as a solo participant to be placed on a team automatically. Students also have the option to register as a team, naming up to three other students they want on their team.
Due to limited space and the expense of catering, we can only guarantee a spot to the first 30 students to register. Once the event is full, any new registrations will be added to the waiting list. If someone cancels before the event, we’ll notify the next person on the waiting list that a spot has opened up.
Register as soon as possible to guarantee your spot! If you are wanting to be part of a team, make sure every member of your team is register as soon as they can so everyone gets in.
